Monique van Elderen
My first Hawaiian Bodywork session changed my life.
The massage penetrated deeply into my psyche. It changed the way my body, particularly my lower back, felt and opened up my mind to something more powerful, and loving, than I had previously perceived. It also opened up my heart which had been closed of because of personal trauma.
After this experience, I enrolled straight away to learn the technique of and philosophy behind Hawaiian Bodywork. This learning process was an experience in itself and I grew stronger and more determined to bring this magical way of relaxation and healing to the bigger community.
I have studied Hawaiian bodywork in Australia, with Mette’s Institute, Heart Work Lomi Lomi with Carita Wong (who is now one of the therapists at Essential Bodywork), Zen Thai Siatsu with Gwyn Williams, Ili Ili hot stones with Sue Lee, Reiki with Debbi Morrill.
I worked in a Hawaiian bodywork massage studio in Maroochydore until March 2019 until the beautiful, centrally located studio in Thomas Street, Noosaville came available.
